Hector’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, formerly known as The Ranch House, has been a staple in Gun Barrel City for over 30 years. Hector (need last name), who originally started out as a dishwasher when the restaurant first opened, took over The Ranch House 8 years ago, changed the name to Hector’s and brought back several of the original dishes that had been very popular. Hector’s is known for serving great Tex-Mex dishes like Quesadillas, Enchiladas, Tacos and more as well as traditional American fare like Chicken Fried Steak, Hamburgers and Fried Catfish. Hector’s is also known for our Margarita’s and was voted Best Margarita in Gun Barrel City!

General Manager Victor Perez oversees the day to day operations of the restaurant, ensuring everything runs smoothly and that a quality product is produced. All items on our menu are fresh and made from scratch daily.

Hector has deep ties to the GBC community and in the past 2 years he has revamped 2 locations in nearby city Malakoff. Little Hector’s is a miniature version of Hector’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, while Hector’s Saloon is a much larger venue that is ideal for private or corporate events.
